I have managed to get a very minor case of that Salmonella poisoning that is going around. Fun fun. So I'm currently stuck in bed with the worst stomach ache, fever and whatnot in history & having to miss my shifts at my day-job. I am starting to feel better very slowly, in the meantime I'm working on more art when I'm not in pain. Its a very slow process right now. So I'm going to open up myself to some commissions if anyone wants one. I'm going to take about 12 of them on, as I'm having to stay home and need some money coming in. First come, first served. Did the 30 Days Project back in June (which is posted on my LiveJournal atm but am compiling it all together for one big thing for DA), really gave me a jump start in the art dept. but then got massively busy at my day-job during most of July so I feel a bit guilty since I had to slack since I was just too tired. Am now going to draw everyday in August and try to finally launch my webcomic by the beginning of September. Goals goals goals. Not much else going on really, just surviving the summer desert heat of 100+ degree Fahrenheit weather. No love life and very little social life so it's just me, my comics and my art.

Having to move back to Hicksville USA means a number of things, but most of all it was coming back to face all the negativity, racism, sexism, and stupidity of my youth. Being a geeky female from a mixed race family in the Southwest has always made me an outsider. Being geeky means I watched Star Trek and Star Wars, loved science, played tabletop RPGs, and read comic books. Being mixed means I'm too white for any of the native tribes and too dark for any of the white people.
